Senior Photos: Cody D.

I had a great time working with Cody D. He’s got his head on straight and I see big things coming, but I’m not so sure about him liking I am the Messenger — we’ve got to figure out a way to check out The Book Thief instead!

IAC Project at LTV Steel…

I recently had the opportunity to check out some work that a friend of mine is doing (along with other members of the IAC – Industrial Arts Co-Op) at the old LTV Mill site. This is a work that is 15 years in the making and is nearing its end (fingers crossed). Some more details can be found in a recent article found on Pop City Pittsburgh (an AWESOME site, by the way…). I was caught up to date on the project itself and we just wandered for a little bit on an incredibly foggy day. I love what these guys have done – the work itself stands on its own, in my opinion – but it’s great to see an industry that literally built the city of Pittsburgh honored in this manner.

In addition to the work on this specific project, I had the opportunity to just observe — if you know me at all, you know that I’m fascinated with the creative process — whether that be a painting, a poem, a song or a sculpture.

I love to talk to people about how they’ve come up with what they’ve come up with and I really enjoyed learning about the history of this project.

Here are some behind the scenes type pics, if you will — some shots that lend an idea to all of the little things that have gone into creating the entire project as a whole.

Yes, that is a Charlie’s Angels sticker on that welding helmet…

It’s also really cool just to see some cool objects — and this site was filled with them.

It feels weird for me to say that a computer is ancient – but this one obviously was. Loved it sitting on the boxes with fragile and please do not drop and handle with care on them…

Finally, we just went for a walk – it was a beautiful, foggy morning — great to just see what’s going on…

Found this truck to be sadly representative of the times many in our area have faced…

and lastly one of my favorites from the day… really looking forward to seeing the rest of this project…

best of luck to the members of the IAC as they continue to bring art to the area…

Mr. and Mrs. Joshua and Samantha Trbovich

What a beautiful day at St. Vincent College for Mr. and Mrs. Joshua and Samantha Trbovich! I had the chance to take shots of the couple’s ceremony and couldn’t help but take in the artistry of the Basilica – such a beautiful, historic site!
